Mahj 101 is a welcoming introduction to the game for brand-new and developing players. Learn the tiles, National Mah Jongg League card, Charleston, how to begin building a hand, and the basic flow of play with encouraging, hands-on instruction.

Mahj 102 offers guided American Mah Jongg play designed to help developing players strengthen their understanding, practice decision-making, and become more comfortable and confident with the game.
Still fairly new? You’re welcome at the table, too.
LV Travel Co. is bringing The Poppy Pair to Ripley for a special Saturday around the mah jongg table.
Mahj 102 is all about more time playing, more guided practice, and more confidence at the table. We’ll work through real game situations together, talk through the choices that come up during play, strengthen the skills you’re already building, and introduce simple strategy in a relaxed and supportive setting.
Mahj 101 is not required. Whether you’re still fairly new to the game, returning after some time away, or simply want more practice with a little guidance along the way, you’re welcome at the table.
